SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS
At Timberline Mountain, we have a great Snow Sports School with the goal of helping you have fun and improve your skills on the slopes!
Let our team of trained instructors build your confidence, help you understand the terrain, and take your skiing or riding to the next level. Whether you are learning the basics or mastering new terrain and skills, our diverse team at Timberline Mountain is ready to help you reach your goals!
Introductory Group Lesson
If you are new to skiing or snowboarding, we want to help you get started out right and have a good first experience on the snow. Our goal is to assist you in discovering the fun of sliding on the snow, learning to control your speed, and making those first turns. The Introductory Group Lesson is 1 hour in duration and taught in a group setting.
Ages 9+
Lesson Times:
9:30AM, 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 2:30PM, 4:00PM (when there is nightskiing)
Cost:
$25 per person
Lift tickets and rentals are not included with lessons and must be purchased separately.
Next Step Group Lesson
If you have been skiing or snowboarding before, but you feel like you’re stuck in the beginner zone and want to take your skills to the next step, this is the lesson for you! The Next Step Group Lesson is geared towards students who are able to stop comfortably on gentle slopes through students who are turning on green and gentle blue slopes (Levels 2-4, Levels Description). This lesson is 1 hour in duration. Groups are formed based on similar ages and skill levels when possible.

9:30AM, 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 2:30PM
Cost:
$45 per person
Lift tickets and rentals are not included with lessons and must be purchased separately.
Private Lesson
Enjoy personalized instruction for you, your family, and your friends by booking a Private Lesson! Whether you want to work on beginner skills, linking turns on steeper terrain, carving, freestyle/terrain park skills, telemark skiing, or anything else on the snow, you will receive personalized coaching catered to your needs.
Enjoy this lesson in a private 1 on 1 ratio format, or create a group of similarly aged and skilled friends and family.
Ages 4+
Lesson Times:
1 Hour Private Lesson: 9:30AM, 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 2:30PM
2.5 Hour Private Lesson: 9:30AM-12:00PM, 1:00PM-3:30PM
We currently do not offer full day lessons. Only one 2.5 hour lesson per person, per day may be booked.
Cost:
1 Hour Private Lesson: $150
2.5 Hour Private Lesson: $300
Private lessons can accommodate a total of 5 individuals. Limit 2 individuals per lesson when aged 4-6 years old. There is no additional cost for additional participants.

Mountain Sprouts Children’s Lesson
Register your child for our Mountain Sprouts Children’s Lesson for a fun day of sliding on the snow, where kids will build confidence with other children of similar age and ability. Our instructors specialize in working with kids and will help instill a love of the sport for a lifetime of enjoyment skiing and snowboarding!
The Mountain Sprouts Children’s Lesson is geared towards first-timers through skiers/snowboarders practicing skills on blue terrain (Levels 1-4, Levels Description). For more advanced lessons or terrain park lessons, please take advantage of our Private Lessons.
Ages 5-9
Lesson Times:
Saturdays and Sundays – 9:30AM-12:00PM or 1:00PM-3:30PM
Additional availability during the holidays.
We currently do not offer full day lessons. Only one 2.5 hour lesson per child, per day may be booked.
Cost:
$160 per person
Lift tickets and rentals are not included with lessons and must be purchased separately.
To request a lesson less than 48 hours prior to the preferred lesson date, please call 304-403-2074 opt. 2.
Lesson Payment and Cancellation Policy:
- Lesson payments are due in full upon confirmation of lesson(s).
- Lessons not paid within 48 hours of confirmation, but no less than 7 days prior to the lesson, will be forfeited.
- To receive a 50% refund, cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the lesson start time by emailing lessons@timberlinemountain.com or calling 304-403-2074 option 2.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the lesson start time are not eligible for refunds.
